The London Games begins this week with the opening ceremonies on July 27, 2012, and the London police have been all over ridding the city of street art in preparation. Of course, this is the perfect time for notorious Banksy to strike and so far, two fabulous pieces have captured the attention of street art fans globally.
The first is a javelin thrower depicting throwing a missile rocket rather than a spear which obviously is a statement about weapons trading. The second is a pole vaulter jumping super high over a barbed wire fence as though escaping prison walls.
Stay tuned for more probable sitings as the Olympics get underway.
