The Japanese-based fast-fashion giant Uniqlo has tapped Dakota Fanning and British singer-songwriter Tom Odell for their Spring Collection.
As we noted last week, the retailer continues to pave its way into the hearts of the U.S. and UK youth culture markets, especially with their “lifewear” clothing, unique apps, and online campaigns that make the brand seem less of a typical apparel brand and more like a lifestyle brand.
Their latest ad campaign features Dakota Fanning, 19, in basics such as AIRism innerwear, denim, Supima cotton, polo and button-down shirts. Dakota’s films of course include a wide range from “I Am Sam” to “The Runaways” with Kristen Stewart to “War of the Worlds.”
Tom Odell, 22, won the British Critic’s Choice Award in 2013 with his debut album “Long Way Down.”
Stay tuned for more from youth culture fashion preferences and changes in retail coming soon in our upcoming 14th Annual Spring Youth Culture Study 2014.
