Part 3 of our coverage on GenArt%uFFFDs LA Fall Fashion show, which was the kick-off to LA Fashion Week on March 13 at the downtown location of the Los Angeles Theatre, features designer Raquel Allegra. Her collection included dark green, black, and brown leather short dresses, brown leather pants, with flowing see-through sweater shawls. Topped with park ranger-like hats, the overall looks were intriguing. The collection felt Japanese influenced in terms of a wide usage of layering in unique ways (although all 3 designers incorporated layering), with shear pieces and mixed materials. Silhouettes were often defined from cinched belts, then matched with leather boots.
The post-runway atmosphere truly took on an LA vibe with a mix of fashion players cruising the 3 different levels of the theatre. On the top level, Livity Outernational had an interesting Eco Lounge set up which provided press, designers, and other VIPs the opportunity to see how sustainability is always in style.
