We knew it was a matter of time before Superman like Wonder Woman last June would get a make-over. After all how can a new generation relate to a super-hero who wears blue tights and red hotpants?

The new Superman which will debut in the new graphic novel “Superman: Earth One” by J. Michael Straczynski and artist Shane Davis which is a new prequel to the sequel tracing his early life has Superman looking all emo.

According to DC Comics co-publisher Dan Didio the new graphic novel which hits bookstores November 2 will “tell a story that’s hip sexy moody.” And obviously more relevant.

The Twilight Generation will totally get the new Superman what with his relatable vampire-esque moodie-ness and chiseled cheekbones (ala Pattinson) and mix of emo fashion styles including hoodies skinny pants ties and ironic T-shirts.
