The Elmer Ave. fashion show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Smashbox Studios was one of the most highly anticipated shows of LA Fashion Week, particularly by those of us interested in what’s coming next from street and music-inspired apparel. The 4 owners, Collin Pulsipher, Jonny Day, Ward Robinson, and Sean Murphy have been at the cutting-edge of creating high-end menswear with a rocker aesthetics since 2002, and very much like the owners themselves, each collection has inspired a fair amount of wannabes trying to achieve the “Elmer Ave.” style that is uniquely it’s own.

In essence, it was a booth design they brought back which also happened to correspond with their new Fall ’08 collection including different color palettes in grey, red, black, white, and chocolate colors.

While the name is obviously boring, what’s interesting is that the Boarding logo looks like a mash-up between Quiksilver and Rip Curl.
