The Buckle–teen based mall store–reports increase in revenue in third quarter.
Despite the difficult economy, teen mall-based retailer The Buckle reported 3rd quarter income increasing 3% to $34.4 million from $33.3 million last year. Overall revenue rose 5% to $243.3 million from $231.2 million from last year.
The Buckle attributes their recent growth due to being on target with trends, particularly with denim, layering pieces and T-shirts, for young males and females. Accessories for both genders have also down well for the brand indicating the importance of accessories when it comes to youth fashion.
The Buckle also announced a one-time dividend of $2.50 to be paid on December 21, 2010 to shareholders of record as of December 3.
