In an odd collaboration, colette, the uber-cool concept store in Paris that is always among the first to offer up limited-edition accessories, apparel, jewelry, hats, music, etc. is teaming up with The Gap in Manhattan to create a pop-up shop from September 6 through October 5th. The Gap X colette pop-up shop will be adjacent to its Fifth Avenue flagship on 54th St.
According to colette, the pop-up shop will look more like the French boutique than the Gap, and will host an array of it’s special limited-edition items, including the new collection with Oakley sunglasses. It will also host limited-edition Gap T-shirts created by a crossover of Parisian and New York artists.
In other colette news, the store in Paris is closed from July 7 to August 25th as it revamps the store and website. They will have a colette Superette in front of the location, like a mini-me store while the renovations are being completed. The new store is sure to be interesting, with Japanese architect Masamichi Katayama heading up the project.
Even more interesting however, for those not living in Paris, once they re-open, the colette website will feature a very detailed eshop so that colette fans globally can find and buy exclusive items from the store.
